Student Success also ranked #1 in Colorado by CNN/Money
Colorado Mountain College was listed in 2012 by CNN/Money in the top 20 nationally (see CNN/Money story) for student success at two-year colleges. The college also ranked #1 among Colorado’s two-year colleges for graduation plus transfer rates.
According to CNN/Money: “College Measures, a joint venture of the American Institutes of Research and Matrix Knowledge Group, has created a chart for CNN/Money to help students find the best options. Based on the percentage of students that graduated within three years or transferred to four-year colleges, they compiled a ‘success’ rating for each community college in the U.S.”
#17 in the Nation
The result? CollegeMeasures.org ranked Colorado Mountain College #17 in the nation for graduation + transfer rates for schools with more than 200 full-time freshmen. This reporting tool is supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
This means Colorado Mountain College students are more successful than those at most two-year colleges. They are graduating and/or transferring to traditional four-year colleges and universities at a rate that is rivaled by only 16 other community colleges in America! Compared to similar-sized schools in the same report, Colorado Mountain College is in the top 2 percent.
