The Administrative Technician supports campus administrators; handles course programming and maintenance of faculty records; gathers, coordinates and assembles scheduling and textbook information; coordinates projects and events; prepares and maintains documents, records, and data reports; provides customer service and support to faculty, staff, and programs; and supports front desk operations. Handles office procedures and provides general clerical support, as well as other duties as assigned.
Desired characteristics include: eager to learn, proactive, self-starter, anticipate needs of programs and supervisor, collaborative, team-oriented, flexible, can work with minimal direction/supervision, time management and communication skills (written and verbal), able to work under pressure and time constraints, able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with interruptions and shifting priorities.

Education and Experience: a combination of formal education and experience necessary to successfully handled the rigors of the position. Examples include a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and one year related work experience; or, Associate’s Degree and two years, or High School Diploma/GED and three years, or equivalent education and experience.
Special Skills or abilities related to position: standard Microsoft Office software, and familiarity with other automated systems software such as Publisher, Photoshop, and Indesign a plus. Ability to: read, write, speak, and understand English well; strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
