New Student Orientation at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville
Registration/Testing dates for Fall 2014 Semester are May 30, June 27, and July 25, August 21
Orientation for Fall 2014 Semester is August 22-24
So what’s the plan?
All incoming students should first plan to attend one of the three listed Registration/Testing days. These one day events will begin with a morning of placement testing followed by class registration in the afternoon. This is a fantastic opportunity to find out your schedule ahead of time and lock in your classes for Fall semester. If getting to campus for one of the Registration days is not possible, please call our Admissions/Registration office to make other arrangements such as a phone call with your advisor.
Begin your academic year with a long weekend of New Student Orientation. At Orientation you’ll meet other students, participate in awesome activities, and familiarize yourself with Leadville and all our campus has to offer! Move into the Residence Hall beginning on August 20, followed by an additional Registration and Testing day on August 21. Use this day to finalize your class selections before the beginning of Orientation. If you have already registered for classes by the start of Orientation you can move in as late as August 22.
Parents, family members, and guests are welcome to attend the first day of Orientation and help their students move in!
CMC provides meals, housing, and other services to students during orientation. A fee ($175 for those staying on-campus, $145 for those staying off-campus) is collected to help provide these services to students. During the online registration process for New Student Orientation, payment may be made using any major credit or debit card.
The fee also covers all the Welcome Weekend events and activities that take place during Orientation (August 22-24).
