New Student Registration & Orientation at Colorado Mountain College at Spring Valley
Now that you’ve made the decision to attend Spring Valley Campus, it’s time to take the next step and attend New Student Registration and Orientation. We can’t wait to see you at Colorado Mountain College.
Spring 2016 New Student Registration Dates
- January 14, 15 and 16, 2016
- Sign up by January 11, 2016
So what’s the plan?
Residence Hall Move In: Students planning to live in the residence hall move in on January 13, 2016, between 6 pm and 10 pm.
New Student Registration: 8:30 am/Thursday until 3 pm/Friday.
New Student Orientation: 2:30 pm/Friday until Saturday evening.
All incoming students are required to attend New Student Registration Also recommended for parents! Fill out the online registration form and pay to finalize your registration.
Payment is required when you register online to hold your spot for New Student Registration.
Students: During New Student Registration you’ll learn about academic programs, meet with an advisor and register for your classes.
Parents: New Student Registration is your orientation to CMC. We have your days filled with information sessions and wonderful opportunities for you to ask questions.
Placement testing for English, math and reading
If you have taken the ACT or SAT and placed into college level English, math and reading, CMC will use these scores to determine what classes you are ready for.
The Accuplacer Placement Assessment is required for students who:
- have not placed into college level English, math and reading with the ACT/SAT, or
- have not taken the ACT/SAT, or
- are not transferring in college course work in English and math

New Student Orientation
January 15-16, 2016
New Student Orientation introduces students to campus resources, strategies to be successful in college and opportunities for fun.
It is MANDATORY for all new full-time students at Spring Valley to attend New Student Orientation. Orientation starts at 2:30 pm on Friday, January 15, and ends on Saturday evening.
