New Student Registration & Orientation at Colorado Mountain College at Spring Valley

Spring 2017 New Student Registration & Orientation Dates:

  • January 12, 13 & 14, sign up by January 6, 2017

Move into residence hall on January 11 from 6pm-9pm.

So what’s the plan?

New Student Registration: starts 1:45pm on Thursday, January 12, and ends 3pm Friday, followed by Student Orientation.

All incoming students are required to attend a New Student Registration. It is also recommended for parents. Fill out the registration form and pay (online) to finalize your registration for the event you plan to attend.

You must pay for New Student Registration when registering online to hold your spot for the NSR event you plan to attend.

Students: During New Student Registration you will learn about academic programs, meet with an advisor and register for your classes.

Parents: New Student Registration is your orientation to our college. We have your days filled with information sessions and wonderful opportunities for you to ask questions.

Placement Testing into English, Math and Reading is available to all students who need testing.

If you have taken the ACT or SAT and placed into college level English, Math and Reading, the college will use these scores to determine what classes you are ready to take.

Any student who has not placed into college level English, Math and Reading with the ACT/SAT, or has not taken the ACT/SAT, or is not transferring college course work in English and Math, must take the Accuplacer computerized placement assessment. If you have questions, please contact Vicky Valentine in Admissions. My contact information is below.

Lodging: Visit the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association at www.glenwoodchamber.com or call them at 1-888-4GLENWOOD for hotel options.

New Student Orientation, January 13 & 14, introduces students to campus resources, strategies for success in college and opportunities for fun.

New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new, full-time students at Spring Valley. It starts at 3pm on Friday, January 13, and ends Saturday evening.
