This cultural class will teach you about Ethiopian cooking and eating customs. We’ll prepare healthy and nutritious vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes using unique and flavorful spices such as the popular Berbere. Dishes will include beet salad, lentil soup, stir fried cabbage, green beans, collard greens, both in tumeric and Berbere sauce. Drinks will include roasting green bean coffee, grinding spices to make herbal tea. Sweets will include sweet breads baked in banana leaves, bakalava and coffee flan for dessert.
