Tammy and Louie Girardot (Culinary Bootcamp and Bootcamp for Bakers) and their daughter, Simone, host this Gluten-Free Baking/Cooking workshop. Workshop time will be divided 60/40 with an emphasis on baking. During the baking portion of the class students get an in-depth view of the basic chemistry of baking desserts, muffins, scones and coffee pastries with equal emphasis on decoration and presentation. The cooking portion explores work-arounds and substitutions for ingredients used in classic holiday cooking from a gluten-free chef’s perspective. After all, the holidays are right around the corner!
