Learn about:

  • CMC Resources including financial aid, scholarships, tutoring, disability services and career services
  • Strategies for College Success
  • Student Tools such as “Basecamp” and “Student Planning”

Before attending please complete your CMC Admissions Application and placement testing. Placement testing are group advising are held at the following times: August 15 at noon in Carbondale, August 14 at 4 pm in Glenwood, or August 16 at 9 am in Aspen. Please call ahead to sign up.

EXPAND YOUR WORLD, EXPAND YOUR MIND—LEARN SPANISH at Colorado Mountain College! Conversational Spanish classes for all levels starting soon. Why not start the journey of learning Spanish now, or pick up learning Spanish where you left off?

Our students report improved communication with Spanish-speakers, greater engagement in our community, new friendships, more enriching travel experiences and an increased appreciation of the many cultures of the Spanish-speaking world!

Alternative Printing – Fabric @ CMC in Carbondale

Fabric print by Carol GaultClass Description:

As part of the alternative printing series: learn how to apply a photographic image to a variety of substrates for household and wearable art. A $10 materials fee will be collected by the teacher for each class. Contact Carbondale campus for student supplied equipment list. Explore several different types of printing on fabric using iron on transfers, cyanotype sun printing, dye sublimation, and ink jet direct printing. Learn about the different chemicals used to treat fabric and sources of specialty papers.

The 180° Wellness Personal Trainer Program
Course description: This unique course offers detailed training techniques, hands-on skills, and the knowledge top employers look for.
Course topics include:

  • Evidence based fitness and conditioning techniques
  • Anatomy & Physiology for Personal Trainers
  • Training strategies for aging athletes
  • Corrective Exercise and Biomechanics
  • Advanced Stretching and Mobility Techniques
  • The Business of Personal Training
  • Comprehensive training for industry certifications like NASM, NSCA, ACE and AFFA.

Students completing the course will receive a Certificate of Completion for 250 coursework hours.

Space is limited, and early registration is advised. Program cost includes all required materials and texts.

Steve Wells, CPT, has over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry. He has succeeded in management and personal training in major health club chains and small studios.
Matt Gilhooly, MBA, CPT, is a personal trainer and an Education Specialist with over eight years of university course design and instruction experience.
Dr. Dave Vukelich, D.C. S.Pc B.Sc is an experienced chiropractor who has had advanced training in various Sports Medicine modalities and techniques. He teaches anatomy and physiology for various professionals including a special version for personal trainers.
