Outdoor Living Made Real @ CMC in Carbondale
Apr 5 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Photo of Genevieve VillamizarClass Description:

How do you see yourself playing, relaxing, eating and connecting at home? Landscaping has moved from gardens and “pretty things” to a social movement taking back “outdoor living.” This class will walk homeowners through the creation of their own landscape design. Students will analyze their own site, develop a family design program for outdoor living, explore possible layouts, and glean insider advice for affordable, conscientious, practical installation approaches. Walk away with a “blue print” to your new life! Instructor Genevieve Villamizar has dirt in her veins and chlorophyll-stained hands. She has been a landscape designer for almost 20 years, with over 25 in the field. Her colorful perspective kicks the pretense of design to the curb, making it fun and livable. Genevieve teaches this class within the framework of Denver Water’s Xeriscape model. A $20 materials fee will be collected and students should order a copy of “The Rocky Mountain Landscape Design Guide,” $4.95.
