Class Description

When done properly, a PowerPoint presentation can effectively deliver your message and help your audience understand the information you are presenting. This entry-level class will introduce PowerPoint and show you how to create an effective presentation. You will format text on slides, add graphics and photos to a presentation and modify them, and add tables and charts to present data in a structured form. You will walk away with a presentation that is ready to deliver. You should be familiar with the Windows environment prior to enrollment. Cost includes workbook; please register by November 21st to reserve your workbook.

CPR for Healthcare Provider @ CMC in Edwards

Class Description

Designed for healthcare professionals, but available to the public, this CPR class is open to individuals interested in developing the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, administer CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking safely and effectively. This class meets the requirements for the American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. An individual pocket mask and text are included in the class fee. Students who successfully complete this class will receive a certification card valid for two years.

Intro. to Avalanche Field Session @ Field

Class Description

You must be 18 years of age minimum at the start of the class to participate. Fast progression covers the latest techniques. This is an on-the-snow avalanche class. Learn cutting-edge rescue, beacon use, group dynamics and stability analysis. Small class size allows for extensive hands-on training. The course follows guidelines of the American Avalanche Association. Prerequisite course is Intro. to Avalanches Lecture session, OUT-901-VE01, syn #84513, 12/8/14. Details of field day are reviewed during classroom session. Class meets at Vail Pass parking lot-details provided. Maximum 8 students.
