Join Dr. Gabrielle Orsi of the Office of Innovations in Teaching and Learning for this fully online training on the art of teaching. This training will be held via a Canvas course with a weekly web conference. Some of the weekly web conferences will feature a guest speaker. We will read and discuss together the book McKeachie’s Teaching Tips, 14th edition (2013). The book will be supplied to course participants. Course objectives include:
- Building an online community with colleagues
- Discussing new teaching tips and ideas from the text, each other, and the guest presenters
- Reflecting upon our own teaching styles and what we would like to incorporate into our craft
- Having an opportunity to sample various technologies used or mentioned in this course and consider using them in your own teaching

FULL TIME FACULTY BACK ON CONTRACT
Capture the glory of fall during this 3-day workshop. Lanny Grant will discuss and demonstrate techniques and work one-on-one to build your skills. Students will meet each morning at the campus then carpool to a pre-selected site.
Steven Hill’s work is exhibited and sold in nationally juried shows and is featured in many ceramics books. This workshop will be a demonstration forum. Steven will be giving a free slide presentation in the auditorium on Thursday evening 10/2 at 7:00 pm that is open to the public. Students may also register for a demonstration workshop on Friday and Saturday, 10/3-10/4 that will cost $180.
Join artist Dan Young for this 2-day workshop at the Silt River Open Space Park. Dan will help you with the fundamentals and discuss the importance of field work and how it relates to studio work. There will be demos, critiques and laughs.
