Class Description

Meets the requirements for American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer CPR or American Heart, Association Basic Life Support for those who, work in emergency services, health care, and other, professional areas. Material presented in the course is basic patient assessment, basic, airway management, rescue breathing, and CPR for infant, child, and adult patients. American Heart Association materials are used. The site was the final resting place of 41 different kinds of Ice Age animals including mammoths, mastodons, giant bison and more. It is one of the most significant discoveries in North America. Walk on the Wild Side with Garry Zabel
Discussion at the Ice Age Discovery Center from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Later, 5:30 to 7 p.m., there will be a hike up the Rim Trail above the reservoir for a glaciology/geology walking lecture. Come prepared to hike and provide your own transportation to the trailhead.

The Ice Age Discovery Center is located on the Snowmass Village Mall. Parking is provided in lots 4, 5, 8 and 9.
