New Student Registration & Testing Day @ CMC Leadville Campus

All incoming students should first plan to attend one of the three listed Registration/Testing days:

June 27th, July 25th, or August 21stStudents on Leadville Campus

These one day events will begin with a morning of placement testing followed by class registration in the
afternoon. This is your opportunity to lock in your classes for Fall semester. If getting to campus for one of the Registration days is not possible, please call our Admissions/Registration office to make other arrangements such as a phone call with your advisor.

This is an intermediate DSLR photography class for students who already have knowledge of the basic camera functions and settings (manual settings, ISO, shutter speed and aperture). The instructor, Steve Chinn, will provide hands-n guidance in the field and help you gain greater control of exposures.  No point-and-shoot or mirror-less cameras.  Bring your DSLR camera, accessories, owner’s manual and memory stick to class. Class meets three evenings from 6-8pm on Tuesday, July 29, Thursday, July 31 and Tuesday, August 5. The site was the final resting place of 41 different kinds of Ice Age animals including mammoths, mastodons, giant bison and more. It is one of the most significant discoveries in North America. Bring the kids and learn more about the discovery!

Discussion at the Ice Age Discovery Center from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Later, 5:30 to 7 p.m., there will be a hike up the Rim Trail above the reservoir for a glaciology/geology walking lecture. Come prepared to hike and provide your own transportation to the trailhead.

The Ice Age Discovery Center is located on the Snowmass Village Mall. Parking is provided in lots 4, 5, 8 and 9.
