Join Sarah Schmidt for an evening of hands-on, family-oriented activities while exploring the process of excavation at the Zeigler site.
These events are free and open to the public.
Spend two hours with professional photographer Katie Girtman. Start at CMC’s Breckenridge campus, then go on a moderate hike for hands-on practice shooting Summit County’s beautiful wildflowers. Bring your own digital camera. Suitable for all ability and experience levels.

Create a welding project in our state-of-the-art lab at Rifle HighSchool. This is an introductory workshop; no previous welding experience is required. You will have a choice of making a piece of garden art or a wine rack. Students must wear leather boots or shoes and long denim pants. Additional safety gear will be provided. On Friday, class hours are 5:30 p – 8:30p. On Saturday, class hours are 8:00a – 5:00p with a one hour break for lunch.

Meets the requirements for American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer CPR or American Heart, Association Basic Life Support for those who, work in emergency services, health care, and other, professional areas. Material presented in the course is basic patient assessment, basic, airway management, rescue breathing, and CPR for infant, child, and adult patients. American Heart Association materials are used. Text required and must be purchased. Cost: one-half credit hour of tuition.
