SGA has sponsored 3 days a week for CMC Students, Faculty, & Staff to swim for FREE at the Lake County Aquatic Center. Just remember to bring your CMC ID with you!!

Class Description

This class provides a total cardio and muscle body workout. Aerobics include both step and kickboxing moves followed by conditioning using fitballs, dumbbells, body bars and resistance bands to enhance balance, stability, and core strength. There is also a focus on abdominal strengthening and stretching. All of these exercises may be adapted for any fitness level, so all are welcome! Please bring a water bottle and exercise mat to class. Meets Mondays & Wednesdays, 1/20-3/5. Cost: $81. Refund date: 1/17.

This class is a form of Hatha Yoga that utilizes bio mechanical principles of alignment together with breath and a celebration of the heart. Each class is focused on a heart-related theme that brings awareness of how yoga brings us off the mat and into the world. The class is influenced by the principles of Anusara Yoga, which empowers the student to find a sense of ease, and move into challenging poses. Meets Mondays & Wednesdays, 1/20-2/26. The Wednesday class is 15 minutes longer and ends at 6:45. Please bring a yoga mat and blanket to class. Cost: $91. Refund date: 1/17.

Introduction to Avalanches Section 1 Lecture 01/20/2014 – 01/20/2014, $40, Course # OUT-901-VE01, Syn # 80120, This 4-hour classroom session is a required pre-requisite for the adjoining field session (SYN # 80122). Or, the classroom session can be taken as a stand-alone awareness class. The class covers avalanche awareness, avoidance and rescue techniques. Learn the most common mistakes, rescue techniques, terrain and stability analysis, which rescue equipment works best, human factors involved in accidents, decision tools and survival skills. Follows the guidelines of the American Avalanche Association.
