Class Description

Weather is vital and must be understood when planning any flight. Learn the basics of weather fronts and formations, winds, and forecast reports and how to understand them. Learn about weather briefings and flight plan filing from FAA Flight Service Stations, as well as the many Internet-based services that are available to pilots. (Two workshops)

An ideal course for beginners or those who have limited knowledge of Microsoft Office. Begin the course with an introduction to Microsoft Word, enabling the user to create letters, memos, reports, and other text-based documents. Excel, a powerful spreadsheet tool that can be used to analyze, chart, and manage data for personal, business, and financial use will be covered, as well as Outlook and PowerPoint. Students must attend first class. Requires basic computer skills.
