Are you going through the motions of using QuickBooks, but aren’t sure why you’re doing what you’re doing? This seminar will address the reasons behind many processes within QuickBooks, in addition to helping you understand the checks and balances small businesses need to implement to protect themselves from fraud or bookkeeping mistakes. An overview of what reports are available in QuickBooks and how to analyze them will also be covered. Note: Prior QuickBooks experience is recommended. Please refer to CMC’s course offerings for introductory classes on QuickBooks. Part of the CMC/RFBRC Springs Business Workshop Series.

Canvas Grading Workshop and Open Office Hours @ Glenwood Center Room 105

Join CMC instructor Michelle Lefebvre for a workshop on the Canvas SpeedGrader from 10am-11am, followed by 30 minutes of open Canvas “office hours” at the Glenwood Center in the first floor computer lab, Room 105. This workshop will introduce participants to the Canvas SpeedGrader tool. This course assumes that participants already have some experience using Canvas, orhave taken Canvas: Basics Online or another Canvas training. Save your seat in the workshop by registering via WebAdvisor now!

Afterwards, workshop participants are welcome to stay and get face-to-face help with Canvas. Michelle will provide assistance on a first-come, first-served basis from 11-11:30am.  Drop-ins welcome –join us for the workshop, or just attend the office hours!

Class Description

The medication administration course is designed to teach unlicensed staff to safely administer medications in settings authorized by law. Staff who successfully complete the course are considered Qualified Medication Administration Persons (QMAP) and should be able to: administer medications according to written physician’s orders; maintain proper documentation of the administration of both prescription and non-prescription drugs; use proper techniques when administering medications by the various routes; and safely and accurately fill and administer medications to and from medication reminder boxes with oversight from a licensed person or qualified manager. There is a written exam and a hands-on practical exam.
