Prepares the student for certification in CPR and basic first aid. Skills will include basic life support, airway obstruction, control of, bleeding, shock, and patient care for the unconscious. American Heart Association materials used. Text required and must be purchased. Cost: one-half credit hour of tuition.
Learn to capture the essence of a scene quickly with all your senses engaged. Workshop is focused on learning to make quick decisions, bold compositions, and simplifying for impact. On location painting will help to make you a faster and better painter when you return to the studio. Each day will start with a demo and short lecture on site, then supervised instruction throughout the day. This workshop will emphasize painting small sketches at a different location daily in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
This class is a form of Hatha Yoga that utilizes bio mechanical principles of alignment together with breath and a celebration of the heart. Each class is focused on a heart-related theme that brings awareness of how yoga brings us off the mat and into the world. The class is influenced by the principles of Anusara Yoga, which empowers the student to find a sense of ease, and move into challenging poses. The Wednesday class is 15 minutes longer and ends at 6:45. Please bring a yoga mat and blanket to class. Meets Mondays and Wednesdays, 6/30-8/6. Cost: $81; Refund: 6/27.

Introduces the basics of worksheet operations using Microsoft Excel 2010. Topics include data entry, formatting, formulas, functions, printing, and file management. Prerequisite: familiarity with the Windows operating system.
A sequel to our Artisan Bread class, we venture into Italy to explore some classic Italian style breads. Learn the importance of a Biga in preparing Ciabatta, Rustic Whole Wheat Olive and Rosemary bread, Grissini and a Rustic Italian Boule.
In October 2010 excavators working at the Ziegler Reservoir in Snowmass Village made an astonishing discovery. The site was the final resting place of 41 different kinds of Ice Age animals including mammoths, mastodons, giant bison and more. It is one of the most significant discoveries in North America. Bring the kids and learn more about the discovery!
