Mishna Wolff’s ‘I’m Down’ Common Reader book
Oct 23 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

I’m Down is the story of Mishna Wolff, a shy, painfully uncool young white woman who grew up in a poor black neighborhood and attended an elite white school. This clever memoir will have you laughing—and also questioning what it means to be poor and white and black in America.
Mishna Wolff will visit Breckenridge’s campus on Wednesday, October 23, 2013.
Stop by the front desk of either Breckenridge or Dillon to purchase your Common Reader BOOKMARK for $6.00, which comes with a copy of the book.
Consider encouraging your students to buy the book and get ready to participate in the author talk and classroom discussions that will be part of Summit’s Fall Semester.
Thank you in advance for your interest in the Common Reader program, which opens up learning conversations among staff, faculty, students, and community members.
Contact Joyce Mosher at jmosher@coloradomtn.edu or (970) 453-6757 for more information. Contact the front dest for tickets, (970) 453-6757.

Prepare to have your mind blown…

Believing that the mind is the last great unexplored frontier, Christopher will:
• Have coins placed upon his eyes, which are then duct-taped shut; then describe objects that are held up by audience members, even duplicating signatures and correctly identifying the serial number on currency that is safely hidden in an audience member’s pocket or purse.
• Cause a light bulb to explode purely through his powers of concentration
• Astound audience members with personal facts that they have never before revealed – to anyone.
• Make audience members believe that they are experiencing touches and taps from invisible hands.
