Annual Holiday Parade of Lights

Get in the holiday spirit in downtown Leadville and enjoy the annual Parade of Lights on Harrison Avenue. Santa will be on hand afterwards on the Courthouse lawn with hot cocoa and cookies for the kids. Don’t miss the Christmas Karaoke! The parade begins at 5:30 p.m.

TIPS Alcohol Server Training

TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) is the most widely recognized certification training for alcohol servers, whether restaurant employees or event volunteers. This class covers responsible service, sale and consumption of alcohol. It is designed to prevent intoxication, underage drinking and drunk driving. Price includes workbook and exam, and those who pass will be TIPS certified for three years. Please register in advance to ensure arrival of workbook. Introduction to Avalanche Field Session

Introduction to Avalanches Field Session on Vail Pass. Fast progression covers the latest techniques. This is an on-the-snow avalanche class. You will learn cutting-edge rescue, beacon use, group dynamics and stability analysis. Small class size allows for extensive hands-on training. Course follows guidelines of the American Avalanche Association. Prerequisite is Introduction to Avalanches classroom session. Details of field day are reviewed during classroom session. Class meets at Vail Pass parking lot – details provided. Maximum8 students.
