Join vocal coach, piano teacher and performer Dory Light in a must” class for anyone interested in acting and performing on stage. In this class you receive coaching on specific repertoire with regard to vocal technique, musicianship and appropriate musical interpretation in a safe, supportive, master class environment. Repertoire is provided and you are also expected to purchase (on-line) several pieces of sheet music and accompaniment CDs. Course meets at instructor’s house. Call CMC 970-945-7486 for address. Create and edit documents, copy and paste, develop a file management system. Set up spreadsheets, sort information and create formulas and charts. Develop PowerPoint presentations. Construction Plan Reading @ CMC in Aspen

Focuses on the introductory techniques for reading and using construction plans with an emphasis on those drawings and types of information relevant to construction trades. Provides instruction on the quantity take off and measuring process. Provides introduction to viewing and navigating electronic blueprints using Adobe reader. Provides introduction to on-screen takeoff software.

Intro to Solid Waste Management @ Carbondale

Class Description

Did you ever wonder what happens to the stuff you throw away or recycle? This course, taught by Cathy Hall and Jed Miller of Pitkin County Landfill, introduces general concepts in landfill management, including: best practices in recycling and waste diversions for rural communities; proper disposal and identification of hazardous wastes; techniques in both green-waste and food-waste composting; and the economics of landfill operations. Whether you are an educator wishing to teach others about the science of solid waste management, a concerned citizen hoping to promote waste reduction in your home or workplace, or a policy-maker who wants to understand how integrated solid waste affects the budget and well-being of your community, this is the course for you. In addition to 9 hours of classroom instruction in Carbondale, Ms. Hall (MBA, SWANA) and Mr. Miller (SWANA, RCRA, DOT HazMat) will lead a 4-hour field trip to the Pitkin County Landfill on Saturday, Feb 8 (9a-1p). Meets Thursdays, 1/30-2/13. Cost: $49. Refund date: 1/28.

Flyer for Full Circle Mentoring informational sessionFull Circle is holding an informational session on how you can get involved as a mentor in Leadville.  If you have an interest and can spend a few hours a month playing games, baking, helping with homework, or just hanging out with a young person you should plan on attending!  Full Circle is looking for male and female mentors over the age of 21.  Some positions even received a stipend.

Not sure you have the time to be a mentor?  Come anyways and learn about other ways you can support Full Circle.
