This discounted deal package includes the New Media Workshops offered Fridays: 2/21, 2/28, 3/7, 3/21. Students must bring their own devices. laptops required; tablets not recommended; smartphones (in addition to laptops) are recommended but not required.
This is your chance to turn your curiosity about Facebook into actual, detailed knowledge. By the end of the workshop you will not only be up and running on Facebook, you will also understand why you need to be there. Facebook for personal and business use, and privacy issues, will be primary topics.
You tweet therefore you are-or not. Twitter is, in fact, the most misunderstood social media on the planet, so this workshop will focus on the why and how of followers, following, and hashtags. The goal is to turn Twitter into a must-have daily tool for you, regardless of your goals and/or your business. Completion of the Social Media I and Social Media II workshops in January is highly recommended, but not required.

Basic introductory tour of the Macintosh Operating System (from 10.6 Snow Leopard to the present). Introduces key terms and navigation around your laptop; the Desktop, Finder, and System Preferences. Learn how to locate and organize your files, change the look and feel of your computer, and learn the basics of using your Mac laptop. Students must bring their own Mac laptop.
