This is a free Academic Success Workshop, organized by the Roaring Fork Campus Learning Center. In this workshop we will learn about two common grammatical mistakes: misplaced and dangling modifiers. Meets in the Glenwood Center, Room 207. All CMC students are welcome.
February is Black History Month
Dr. Christopher Bell presents Media Messaging Learn how media performs the function of teaching us to be members of our society. Using examples from everything from Disney films to the NFL, Dr. Bell weaves an intricate and compelling tapestry of media messages to help attendees become more savvy media consumers.
Dr. Christopher Bell is an Assistant Professor of Communication in the Department of Communication and the director of the Center for Excellence in Communication at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He is the author of American Idolatry: Celebrity, Commodity, and Reality Television and Hermione Granger Saves the World!: Essays on the Feminist Heroine of Hogwarts. Both books are currently available through the CMC Leadville Library.
The Climax gym & climbing wall will be open late on Tuesday & Thursday for student use ONLY!

The Climbing Wall will be closed to the public on Thursday Feb. 27th and Friday Feb. 28th for the Collegiate Climbing Competition. Please plan accordingly!
