Class Description

This class provides a total cardio and muscle body workout. Aerobics include both step and kickboxing moves followed by conditioning using fitballs, dumbbells, body bars and resistance bands to enhance balance, stability, and core strength. There is also a focus on abdominal strengthening and stretching. All of these exercises may be adapted for any fitness level, so all are welcome! This class is a form of Hatha Yoga that utilizes bio mechanical principles of alignment together with breath and a celebration of the heart. Each class is focused on a heart-related theme that brings awareness of how yoga brings us off the mat and into the world. The class is influenced by the principles of Anusara Yoga, which empowers the student to find a sense of ease, and move into challenging poses. Meets Mondays & Wednesdays, 3/17-4/30.
