This course is an introduction to nutrition. Students will receive an overview of the essential nutrients of human nutrition and an introduction to medical nutritional support modalities. Cost: two credit hours of tuition.
This class is designed to provide lots of walking on a variety of local routes. Expert instructor, Heidi Vosbeck, provides a wealth of information about fitness, nutrition, and personal programs to establish walking as an engaging lifestyle. Meets Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5/12-6/26. Cost: one credit hour of tuition.
This class is a form of Hatha Yoga that utilizes bio mechanical principles of alignment together with breath and a celebration of the heart. Each class is focused on a heart-related theme that brings awareness of how yoga brings us off the mat and into the world. The class is influenced by the principles of Anusara Yoga, which empowers the student to find a sense of ease, and move into challenging poses. The Wednesday class is 15 minutes longer and ends at 6:45. Please bring a yoga mat and blanket to class. Meets Mondays and Wednesdays, 5/12-6/25. Cost: $91; Refund: 5/9.
Want to write, but not sure where to start or how to continue? This class will discuss ways to bust through writer’s block and fears and fire up your creativity so that you can (finally) start – or finish – that writing project you’ve had in mind, be it a short story, novel, newspaper or magazine article, blog and more. We will also be doing short writing exercises to ignite the fire.
Improve your English in basic to advanced classes. Students must take a test on registration day to determine their class level.
