Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair or standing using a chair for support. Students will learn many kinds of yoga, postures, breathing techniques, meditation and ways of relaxation with the aid of a chair.
Though Tai Chi 1 is highly recommended first, it is not required, as we will focus on moves such as parry and punch, brushed knee and other fun, dynamic moves. The gentle form focuses on health, body awareness, loving kindness and alignment of body and mind. It is a moving meditation, which has been proven effective to increase immune system functioning and improve balance. We build on previous steps and deepen our understanding of Tai Chi principles and how they apply to our entire lives.
