Take college transfer level or continuing education courses at CMC’s Glenwood Center
The Glenwood Center is one of three locations that comprise the Roaring Fork Campus. We offer nearly 200 courses every fall and spring semester and nearly 100 every summer. In concert with Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs – Spring Valley and the Lappala Center in Carbondale, courses here include transfer-level core class offerings such as English Composition, Geography, and College Algebra, and services which include academic and career advising. Additionally, a host of short courses and workshops are offered in a variety of areas from Quickbooks to Dance Aerobics, and Figure Drawing to Guitar. Many classes are offered during convenient evening hours for individuals with daytime jobs.
More than 70 adjunct faculty teach at the Glenwood Center, in addition to the cadre of full-time faculty who have shared responsibilities across the three-site campus. These faculty members are experts in their fields who enjoy sharing their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm with students.
Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Center offers continuing education courses which provide continuing education units (CEUs) in a variety of professions. The Glenwood Center is also known as a true “community” college, where many people can take classes simply for personal interest. Intercambio is an exciting cultural and linguistic exchange program offered here. From Aikido to Kayaking, and How to Start a Small Business to CPR, the Glenwood Center is a hub of activity for a community that thrives on learning.
Near to the downtown business district, the Glenwood Center is a convenient location easily within walking distance of many businesses and attractions. Glenwood Springs lies in a beautiful mountain valley on the I-70 route. It is within an hour of two major ski resorts, Aspen and Vail.
