Canvas Quizzes & Rubrics Workshop at Spring Valley @ CMC in Spring Valley, Quigley Library Room 115

Faculty, you are invited to join Dr. Gabrielle from the Office of Innovations in Teaching and Learning for a workshop on quizzes and rubrics for Canvas on the Spring Valley campus, in room QL 115, in Quigley Library, from 11:00am-12:30pm on Tuesday, July 12.

We will cover:

  • the kinds of quizzes and surveys that Canvas offers
  • learning to build Canvas quizzes and the best choice for quiz settings
  • how to preview a quiz from the student perspective
  • working with and managing question banks in Canvas
  • how to import tests and question banks from publishers
  • how to create a rubric in Canvas and apply it to a graded item
  • Turnitin rubrics

We will wrap up with Q & A.

Canvas Course Copying & Commons Workshop for Faculty @ CMC in Glenwood Springs, Room 106

Faculty, you are invited to join Dr. Gabrielle from the Office of Innovations in Teaching and Learning for a workshop on copying Canvas courses and using Commons, the digital library, to share course materials at the Glenwood Center, in room 106, on Thursday, July 14, from 5-6pm! This is your chance to ask a Canvas expert your questions and get help with setting up your fall Canvas course! We will cover:

  • how to copy a course in its entirety
  • how to copy only selected parts of a course
  • how to copy from an archived course into a new course
  • how to “export” your course and why this alternate method of course copying can be useful
  • how to copy just quizzes from one course to another
  • adding materials provided by publishers such as course cartridges and question banks to your course
  • using Commons, CMC’s learning object repository in Canvas to help build your course
  • common course copying issues and frequently asked questions

This workshop will conclude with Q&A.
