CMC Leadville 2011 Faculty of the Year
I love the community of Leadville, and I love to learn. My interests are vast, so when I am not teaching, I enjoy participating in community events and organizations. You can find me at the St. George music series, the CMC International Film Festival, book club, Ski Cooper and Tennessee Pass Nordic Center, Crystal Carnival ski-joring events, the
Mineral Belt Trail and more.
I am currently coordinating the Common Reader program for the Leadville campus. The Common Reader program is a unique opportunity for faculty, staff, students and community members to become life-long learners together, to engage deeply with a theme of great importance, and to ask ourselves how we can take the lessons from the books to create a more vibrant future in our communities. I am a firm believer that literacy and social justice are two sides of the same coin. When we promote the love of learning and literacy, our communities and those within them will thrive.
