Spend one evening getting a clear picture of what it’s really like to run a small business.  Assess your own strengths and weaknesses as a business owner and learn how to analyze the potential for your business.  This program is designed for people that have not yet started a business.  You’ll learn how to build a revenue/sales forecast, how much money is needed to start your own business, how to build a monthly expense budget and forecast profit/loss for the first two years, and what resources are available to help you with the planning process.

Success Steps Seminar:  Selling or Buying a Small Business & Business Valuation

Wednesday, February 25 from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Topics covered in this program include:  The type of information needed to evaluate a business opportunity, the process to sell or buy a small business, the most significant risks and how to minimize the risks, how to establish valuation parameters, the terms and phrases common to business acquisitions, how to prepare your business for sale in the future, and where to go for help when things heat up.

Meaningful handouts will be offered to support your experience in the process of buying or selling a small business.

The program is presented by Randy Rudasics, Manager of the Yampa Valley Entrepreneurship Center and Steve Hitchcock, owner of Zirkel Trading company and Soda Creek Pizza.  Randy is the former President of Star Staffing Services in South Bend, Indiana which was sold to a larger competitor in 2005.  Steve has formal training in business valuations and has previously sold a small business in Steamboat Springs.  Steve is also a licensed Realtor focusing on commercial transactions.
