Business Plan Workshop:  Smart Planning for a Start Up

Topics covered include:
Customer demographics and psychographics, required sections of a plan and length of each section, content guidelines for each section, building financial forecasts, web tools for business plan development, local resources for assistance.

Announcing the Yampa Valley SCORE Business Plan Competition 2014

Hosted by Colorado Mountain College and Sponsored by the City of Steamboat Springs

The objective of this competition is to encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to create a well written business plan and present to experienced business professionals for evaluation.  The winner will receive a cash prize of $10,000, 3 months free rent in the Yampa Valley Entrepreneurship Center, an introduction and visit with a venture capital funding company, and recognition for their new business in the community.  The second place competitor will receive a cash prize of $5000.
