Backcountry Navigation @ CMC in Edwards

Class Description:

Teaches efficient backcountry navigation in a field-based or classroom setting using topographic maps and other appropriate navigation tools.

Learn the proper use of maps, compass and other tools while navigating the wilderness in this beginner course. An additional charge of $30 is paid to CMC to purchase a USDA permit. First class meets at CMC; additional locations to be announced. Participants must be 18 before July 26, 2016. Teaches efficient backcountry navigation in a field-based or classroom setting using topographic maps and other appropriate navigation tools.

CPR for Healthcare Provider @ CMC in Edwards

Class Description:

Designed for healthcare professionals, but available to the public, this CPR class is open to individuals interested in developing the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, administer CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking safely and effectively. This class meets the requirements for the American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. An individual pocket mask and text are included in the class fee. Students who successfully complete this class will receive a certification card valid for two years.
