Dr. Charlotte D. Strahm holds a Doctorate in Nursing from Rush University in Chicago, IL. Her doctoral degree had both a clinical practicum component and research focus earning her DNSc/PhD status. Dr. Strahm earned her Masters and Baccalaureate of Nursing degrees from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN where she taught for 12 years at the undergraduate and graduate level. She holds an Associate Degree in nursing from Purdue University North Central and taught at that campus prior to coming to CMC.
Dr. Strahm has been a nurse for 39 years and has 22 years of teaching experience. Charlotte is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. Her research interests include, the parenting experience of raising a child with attention deficit disorder, nursing student outcomes related to progression and testing performance in a nursing program and NCLEX success.
Charlotte has been married for over 40 years to her husband David, has two grown daughters and three granddaughters in high school and college. Having lived in Indiana for all but 5 years of her life, Charlotte and David are “transitioning” to make the valley they have grown to love over the past 20 years their western home.
