This workshops looks at life and universal principles that will help participants have a better outlook and be grateful through recovery whether it be from an accident/injury, surgery, or loss. Participants will learn the phases of transitions, ways to create effective change, and the concepts of catabolic and anabolic energy in change. Life changes are often hard to navigate through, and this course will help you create a plan to manage change in an efficient and progressive manner, so you may come through change on top. Deborah will share how she used these tools to make a life changing accident into a blessing.

Class Description:

Bring your choice of any musical instrument or voice, and learn to play rock, folk, and jazz songs with a band. Beginners and experts alike are welcome; songwriters welcome as well. We will learn the music theory needed to improvise and arrange your own parts for each song, using chord charts instead of sheet music. Some instruments can be provided if needed. Playing with a group is a great way to boost confidence in your skills and unlock your creative expression while jamming out with friends or starting a new band!

QMAP Instruction @ CMC in Glenwood Springs

Class Description:

This class will enable students to get into the field of health care by learning the skills to safely administer medications in settings authorized by the State of Colorado. These settings include: Assisted living residences, Adult foster care facilities, Alternative care facilities, Residential child care facilities, Secure residential treatment centers, State certified adult day programs, Program approved service agencies (PASA) serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Residential and Day Programs (RDP), and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). The first day of class is instruction and the second day is testing. Attendance at both days is mandatory. Students will have some online preparation for this class. Students will need to bring valid photo identification, and students must be able to read, write and speak English. Students must have also basic math skills to pass this class. Schedule includes a half-hour lunch break. Upon successful completion of the written exam and a hands-on practical exam, students will need to pay an additional $14.00 Colorado state registration fee. The instructor will collect and forward this fee along with student information to CDPHE.
