Now put FOUNDATIONS under them.” –Henry David ThoreauAt Colorado Mountain College, our vision is “First Choice in Leadership.” We strive to bring modern concepts of sustainability, leadership-development and team dynamics to community organizations and professional groups. The FOSIL Project, a leadership-development program of CMC, specializes in creating customized team-experiences for professional, change-oriented groups of people. Concepts we frequently develop with groups include constructive social-dynamics, building organizational culture, and values-based leadership. Every program is custom built to meet the needs of an organization and includes a thorough pre-program team-assessment and post-program evaluation and suggestions for next steps. Throughout the program we consistently use experiential pedagogies to engage participants and empower them build a sustainable group culture. Our programs are shaped by the surrounding environment, which offer a spectacular view of the Elk Mountains. On campus we have state-of-the art conference facilities, meeting spaces, a low and high ropes course, climbing wall and orienteering course.
