Whether you’re taking an algebra course or running alongside him on the campus trails, it is clear that Darren Brungardt has two passions: math and running. Darren has ample experience in secondary and higher education, including seven years as an adjunct math professor at Colorado Mountain College in Summit County. Darren also coaches the CMC Leadville Running Club. He enjoys hitting the trails, whether he is running, racing in 5ks or 10ks, snowshoeing, hiking or camping.
Darren ran track at the University of Northern Colorado, primarily racing the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races. His coaching experience includes track and cross country at Berthoud High School, Summit High School, Boulder High School and even coached women’s rugby in Summit. You can find Darren exploring the campus trails before and after class – unless the Denver Broncos are playing!
