Persistence, Retention & Completion 2013-2016
The persistence, retention and completion data tables refer to the rate at which CMC students work toward graduation compared to national community college averages. Persistence rates represent the rate at which students enroll in the spring term after completing the fall term. Retention rates represent the rate at which students enroll in the fall term and also the following fall term. Completion rates represent the rate at which students complete their degree. Measures are broken down into full- and part-time student rates as well as the rates at which students complete their degree within three
and six years.
Annual Student Data Report
The Annual Report Dashboard is an interactive snapshot of one academic year of data broken down into different segments to show the makeup of our student body. The Annual Student Data Report is a breakdown of distinct student headcounts by semester and annually by race, age, gender, residency status, credit type, department and credit load. These headcounts are available college-wide and by location. Click on the image to the right to access the most up-to-date version of this data.
Average Class Size
The average class size refers to the mean number of student registrants during a given period of instruction by cost center area and site, and is created by combining registrations of multiple sections that are cross listed together into one course that are either held in the same geographic location or time before averaging. Independent study courses are excluded from the average. Click on the image to the right to access the most up-to-date version of this data.
This dashboard includes six academic years of data that measure the progress of the Strategic Plan as well as inform campuses regarding their contribution to the plan. Measures include student headcount and FTE, concurrent enrollment, diversity, annual cost per student, and developmental education. Data snapshots are obtained beginning with the current academic year at census. The current year data will be refreshed at the end of the fall and spring terms. View/download the Operational Definitions (pdf).
This dashboard includes five years of data that will inform programs regarding declared majors, graduates, courses and enrollments, student FTE and demographic information. This information helps generate the data elements of the Program Review Report created each year by certain programs. In addition, this tool will allow for more consistent monitoring of any given program, not just those scheduled for review. Data will be refreshed at the beginning of every semester.
These data provide a look into the registration activities of various academic terms, providing distinct student headcount and a running sum of enrollments and FTE. The horizontal axis provides a transaction timeline, with the value “0” as the start of the term; selecting multiple like terms allows for a historical comparison. Multiple variable selections allow both course section and demographic filtering. The data are refreshed on a scheduled basis.
