Join Dr. Gabrielle Orsi of the Office of Innovations in Teaching and Learning for this fully online training on the art of teaching. This training will be held via a Canvas course with a weekly web conference. Some of the weekly web conferences will feature a guest speaker. We will read and discuss together the book McKeachie’s Teaching Tips, 14th edition (2013). The book will be supplied to course participants. Course objectives include:
- Building an online community with colleagues
- Discussing new teaching tips and ideas from the text, each other, and the guest presenters
- Reflecting upon our own teaching styles and what we would like to incorporate into our craft
- Having an opportunity to sample various technologies used or mentioned in this course and consider using them in your own teaching
Total completion time is estimated to be approximately 20 hours. Please register for this training via WebAdvisor to obtain access to the Canvas course.
