Meets the standards for recertification of a Wilderness First Responder certification. Topics to be included are CPR, patient assessment, trauma, medical, and environmental emergencies. This course is required to maintain a current Wilderness First Responder certification, which must be recertified every three years.
Certifications are sponsored by Desert Mountain Medicine (WRF) and the American Heart Association (Professional Rescuer CPR). The supplemental course charge includes textbook, expendable materials, and certification fees. The Saturday and Sunday meetings will take place in the classroom and outdoors. The supplemental course charge is nonrefundable. Minimum age 18.
