Reporting to the Physical Plant Manager, this individual will maintain and repair campus buildings, utilities, vehicles, equipment, and grounds, perform snow removal and custodial functions. The maintenance mechanic performs a variety of skilled building maintenance tasks in one or more of the trades involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, locksmithing, masonry, painting, carpentry, auto mechanics, and custodial trades and services. The maintenance mechanic provide security of buildings, and performs other duties as assigned.
The anticipated schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, though on-call duty will be needed at times.
The maintenance mechanic interacts directly with Campus students, faculty and staff; a focus on customer service and professionalism is essential.

Conversational Spanish language skills are strongly preferred.

Pre-Requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)
Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position, such as: Associate’s Degree and 2 years related experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities related to the position: Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, masonry, painting, carpentry and/or auto mechanics; computer and custodial experience. Valid Colorado driver’s license is required.
