This full time faculty position begins August 2014, and is grant funded for one academic year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for didactic and clinical teaching within the Associate Degree Nursing Program for registered nurses and proposed RN-BSN (pending HLC approval). Mental Health or Medical Surgical Nursing experience preferred. Other responsibilities include facilitating student learning through effective teaching, assessment and evaluation of student learning and nursing program outcomes, professional development and scholarly activities, establishing and maintaining effective organizations, supervisory, faculty, and clinical relationships, advising and mentoring students. The successful candidate will contribute to BSN program development as well as engage in current AD nursing program and curriculum development. Position may include travel, evening, and weekends. Salary range $59,827 – $73,639 depending upon education and experience.

Prerequisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)
- Education or Training: Master’s Degree in Nursing; Doctoral degree or current enrollment in Doctoral program preferred.
- Experience: 2000 hours verifiable related occupational experience within the past 5 years and the equivalent of one year full time teaching/training experience.
- Areas of Teaching may include Med Surg Content, Med Surg Clinical Practice, and/or Mental Health Nursing.
- Special Skills or Attributes: an active, unencumbered Colorado RN license or the ability to obtain a Colorado Nursing license.
