Sarah Washburn, Adjunct Associate Professor, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2004 from the University of Oklahoma and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2011 from Regis University.
Sarah is currently hoping to become a lactation consultant (IBCLC) in July.
She began a career in nursing education as an adjunct faculty with Colorado Mountain College in 2008, and will start as an assistant professor in the fall. Sarah is currently licensed in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, as well as a RNC-OB (inpatient obstetric nurse).
Her clinical experience includes 8 years of labor and delivery, 4 years of newborn and level II NSY and 4 years as a charge RN.
Sarah currently teaches Obstetrics/Pediatrics clinical courses, and will begin teaching Pharmacology I in fall 2012. In addition to teaching at CMC she works as a clinical informatics nurse with Vail Valley Medical Center and has volunteered as chairperson of the Clinical Practice Committee for Perinatal Practice at Vail Valley Medical Center for 3 years.
When Sarah is not teaching at CMC she enjoys playing softball, snowboarding, and watching OKC Thunder basketball and OU Sooner football.
