Nursing adjunct faculty Sarah WeatherredSarah Weatherred, Associate Professor, received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Kansas in 1996, an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing in from Colorado Mountain College in 2004, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Colorado Mesa University and a Master of Science in Nursing with an education specialization in 2011 from Excelsior College.

She became an adjunct faculty with Colorado Mountain College in 2011, and a full time faculty member in 2012. She is currently licensed in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.

Sarah has 17 years of clinical experience including medical/surgical care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, nursery, information technology, family practice and OB/GYN clinics. Her experience includes four years as an EMT in the ER and ambulance departments. In addition to teaching at CMC she works as a Labor and Delivery/Postpartum nurse at the Family Birth Place at Valley View Hospital, and volunteers at the Round Up River Ranch, a camp for children with chronic and life threatening illness.

At the Spring Valley campus, she currently teaches Basic and Complex OB/Pediatric nursing in the classroom and clinical settings, Pharmacology/IV therapy, and simulations and course labs.

When Sarah is not teaching at CMC she enjoys skiing, trail running, playing volleyball, practicing yoga, singing, traveling and spending time with her family including her two daughters.
