Education, innovation, and opportunity in beautiful rural western Colorado

Located in western Garfield County, CMC Rifle offers community-oriented learning. With a 13:1 student/teacher ratio, the campus provides personalized learning that fuels our students’ success. You’ll find the latest classroom technology and friendly staff who want to help you reach your goals. Computer labs, Interactive Video System (IVS) classrooms, integrated smart boards and the 287-seat Clough Auditorium are some of the amenities available to students.

CMC Rifle’s offerings expand with online courses and three other CMC campuses within a 45-minute drive. Through these additional sites, you can complete a degree or certificate in science, medical, business, or education. Students can easily complete associate degrees and technical certificates without leaving Rifle. Bachelor’s degrees are accessible with minimal travel to one of the nearby campuses.

In the heart of the energy industry, the Rifle campus provides unique opportunities for gaining energy-focused certifications and associate degrees. Process Technology, Solar Energy and Welding are offered on-campus, only in Rifle. The campus provides valuable hands-on experience with a non-functioning gas & oil pad, and gas processing facility. Students can also learn first-hand from the on-campus solar farm that generates 33% of campus power.
