DSLR Photography in the Field

This is an intermediate DSLR photography class for students who already have knowledge of the basic camera functions and settings (manual settings, ISO, shutter speed and aperture). The instructor, Steve Chinn, will provide hands-on guidance in the field and help you gain greater control of exposures.  No point-and-shoot or mirror-less cameras.  Bring your DSLR camera, accessories, owner’s manual and memory stick to class. Class meets three evenings from 6-8pm on Tuesday, July 29, Thursday, July 31 and Tuesday, August 5. “Walk on the Wild Side” with Garry Zabel @ Ice Age Discovery Center at the Snowmass Village Mall

The site was the final resting place of 41 different kinds of Ice Age animals including mammoths, mastodons, giant bison and more. It is one of the most significant discoveries in North America. Bring the kids and learn more about the discovery!

Walk on the Wild Side with Garry Zabel
Discussion at the Ice Age Discovery Center from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Later, 5:30 to 7 p.m., there will be a hike up the Rim Trail above the reservoir for a glaciology/geology walking lecture. Come prepared to hike and provide your own transportation to the trailhead.

The Ice Age Discovery Center is located on the Snowmass Village Mall. Parking is provided in lots 4, 5, 8 and 9.

These events are free and open to the public.
