Colorado Mountain College in Leadville

A campus surrounded by Colorado’s highest peaks, and all the adventure you could ask for

Leadville — Colorado’s 2015 Top Adventure Towns!
-Elevation Outdoors Magazine cover story

This is authentic Colorado. Leadville is the base for the epic outdoors. A pine forest surrounds the 275-acre campus. There are miles of trails right out the front door for cross-country skiing, running, biking and hiking. And 14,000 foot peaks surrounding it all.

Students here form a strong community. The mountains are their classroom. Some learn to clean up the environment. Others lead trips in nearby wilderness areas. Several world-class resorts such as Vail, Copper Mountain and Breckenridge offer the perfect place to learn ski area management. Or enjoy an amazing powder day.

This is also a great place to start your four-year degree with a liberal arts education. Colorado State Guaranteed Transfer Courses make it easy to transfer from CMC. Students here find room to think and explore their options. One-on-one time with welcoming professors will build a solid base for your next step.

If you haven’t heard of Leadville, we’re not surprised. It’s one of Colorado’s best secrets.
