I unknowingly began my career in education when I started river guiding in West Virginia during the mid-90s. That led me to a position with the Colorado Outward Bound School, where I instructed teenagers in the arts of rafting, kayaking, climbing, mountaineering, canyoneering, and backpacking for seven seasons.

During this time I had the fortune of traveling to developing nations across the globe in search of adventure, and ended up learning firsthand the situational disparities that exist throughout communities everywhere. I landed at Colorado Mountain College in 2009, assisting on a winter camping course, and I was hooked. My passion is to develop meaningful and inspirational courses that students can connect to their own passions and goals.
