Ecuador + Galapagos Islands: Summer 2021

CMC is diligently watching the status of all future trips as it relates to COVID-19, and will provide updates to trips statuses no later than eight weeks prior to departure.

We will be offering a four week trip that will include a Spanish language immersion experience as well as Environmental Science studies.

Ecuador is uniquely positioned to offer an experience in an array of in the alpine environment of the Andes, the jungle environment of the Amazon, and the maritime experience of the Galapagos Islands.

This four week trip offers:

A two week stay in the Andean capital of Quito.  During this time students will live with and Ecuadoran family, participate in Spanish immersion classes and excursions around Quito.  These excursions include hiking trips to glacial volcanoes in the area.

A week stay in the Amazon.  Students will stay at an Eco lodge and continue their Spanish immersion classes.  Students will have the opportunity to hike in old growth forest, explore the Napo River ecosystem and learn how to make chocolate from cacao beans, among other activities.

Four to Five days exploring the Galapagos Islands.  This is an exciting new edition to our Ecuador trip!  Details are unfolding.

Trip dates: June 6-July 2, 2021

Courses: ENV 101 SPA course (depends on individual student’s level) 7-9 credits
