Administrative Assistant II, Part-time, Central Services – Grant Funded Position
The Administrative Assistant I performs customary clerical/technical duties in support of College operations and management for the Dean, School of Transitional Education. Duties may include managing website and other online content, data entry, internal and external communication, scheduling appointments, preparing, updating and posting or distributing documents, serving as a link and resource to faculty and staff throughout the college as well as external constituents. The Administrative Assistant I provides staff support for meetings; takes, prepares, and distributes minutes; makes travel arrangements and reservations; monitors and tracks deadlines; prepares and/or assists in development of reports/publications; researches, gathers, assembles data and information; organizes and maintains records and files, plans, organizes, implements, and/or assists with special projects, events, and activities; works with budgets and purchasing, grant management, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is for 10 hours a week.
This position is grant funded and all grant funded positions are subject to available funding and grant renewals.

Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)
Education, Experience and Training Sufficient for the rigors of the position, for example: Associate’s Degree or two-year college certificate, vocational school or technical program beyond high school, business college or similar training efforts and 1 year related work experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 2 years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of a variety of standard administrative and business methods and procedures; standard Microsoft Office software.
Ability to: read, write, speak, and understand English well; operate variety of office equipment; proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail; multi-task; meet deadlines; strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.
