ADMISSION AND ENROLLMENT CHECKLIST
Take these steps to complete your admission and enrollment at Colorado Mountain College
- Apply for Admission
- Complete and submit the Colorado Mountain College (CMC) Admission Application Online - It's free! Once you apply you will see your admissions Checklist of items needed to make your application complete.
- Financing your education
- Explore Housing
- If you do not currently live near your campus, explore your housing options. The most affordable housing options are offered through on-campus housing provided for students.
- First year students under the age of 21 will be required to live on-campus if attending one of these three campuses (Leadville, Spring Valley, Steamboat Springs).
- Students must be at least 18 years of age to live on campus.
- Send Academic Transcripts
- High school transcripts are only required if enrolling within 5 years of graduation. Ask your high school to submit it electronically (such as Naviance) or send it via mail to the address below.
- The college/university you attended must send your official transcripts directly to CMC for evaluation. Send to:

- Submit Test Scores (if applicable)
- Many college credit courses require students to be prepared in Reading, English, and Mathematics. If you have taken the ACT or SAT tests within the last five (5) years submit your scores to the Admissions Office (see contact details above) or make arrangements to take Accuplacer placement testing. See Placement Testing for details to set up testing.
- Obtain Basecamp Student Portal Credentials
- Once you apply you will be assigned an Enrollment Specialist to help answer your questions. Basecamp will be your applicant and student portal. This is home for important information and your student email. You will access Basecamp (login required) frequently through the duration of your time with CMC.
- Submit your immunizations
- In your Admissions Checklist within your applications turn in your immunizations. The college is looking for Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR’s 2 shots). If you do not have your immunization records or have questions, please email Vicky Valentine the Admissions/Enrollment Manager Vvalentine@coloradomtn.edu
- Pay for College
- Virtual Orientation
- Seek Advising
- Contact your Enrollment Specialist to determine that you are registration ready and seek advising. Also, check out our New Student Advising & Registration page to see also what your next steps might be.
- Attend a In Person Orientation
- Mandatory New Student Orientation Friday, before classes start we will hold Orientation in-person at the Spring Valley Campus. Orientation information will be sent to your student email after you have completed New Student Advising & Registration. There is a nonrefundable $75 Orientation fee.
