
NEW STUDENT ADVISING & REGISTRATION AND ORIENTATION
Welcome to CMC Spring Valley/Glenwood Center and congratulations on your admission.
New Student Advising & Class Registration (NSAR) is a one-hour virtual appointment with a College Counselor or Academic Advisor.
Do I need to attend NSAR?
Yes, you just may have different steps to be advised and registered for your classes.
Steps for all students:
- Complete the Admission Enrollment Checklist.
- Complete the Virtual Orientation.
- Submit Immunizations (as part of your application).
- Submit your Housing Application if applicable.
- What Student Type are you?
- First Time College Freshman
- High School Graduate who took CMC course while in High School
- Accepted Veterinary Technology
- NSAR required on June 20, 2025, please register to attend.

- Accepted Photography & Videography & Graphic Design
- NSAR required on June 20, 2025, please register to attend.

- College Transfer Student

- Students will register for classes during program orientation.
Orientation
Mandatory for those under the age of 21 and/or live in the residence hall.
New Student Orientation - Friday, August 22, 2025, held in-person at the Spring Valley campus if you are under the age of 23 and/or live in the residence hall. Orientation information will be sent to your student email after you have completed New Student Advising and Class Registration. There is a nonrefundable $75 Orientation fee.
Mandatory for all student over the age of 23
New Student Orientation - Thursday, August 14, 2025 held in person/virtual at the Glenwood Center. Orientation information will be sent to your student email as we get closer to August.
