Recreation & Fitness Center Memberships

2019 Rates

Start your journey today with a membership that fits your budget and fuels your progress. We offer a variety of memberships for CMC students, faculty, staff, alumni, community, and their guests.

First-time members must sign up in person at the Student Recreation Center. You can purchase membership renewals and additional services online, coming soon.

Membership is required to use Campus Recreation’s facilities and programs. Membership privileges include use of all Campus Recreation activity areas, meetings and public spaces, daily locker use, and group fitness classes.

Campus Recreation accepts payment in form of Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Membership payment for eligible CMC employees may also be made with Payroll Deduction.

  • Sport Club team dues or other team charges are made to the individual Sport Club team.

  • Community Membership (Ages 17+)

    $40/month

    Local Community Adult (17+) members are eligible to purchase a pass to use the Recreation Center facilities and can use the facilities any time the facilities are open.

    Community members are required to abide by facility policies (view them here) and violation of these policies could result in suspension from facilities and annulment of remaining visits with no refund of fees.

  • Youth Membership (Ages 16-17)

    $30/month

    Youth ages 16 - 17 are eligible for a membership to the Recreation Center as long as their Parent/Guardian is a Recreation Center member currently enrolled or employed by the Colorado Mountain College during the semester and pay the additional Youth membership fee.

    Youth cannot enter the facility without their parent/guardian.

  • Spouse/Partner Membership

    $66/month

    Spouse/Partner/Family - In order for a spouse/partner to purchase a membership for the spousal rate, primary membership is required and must be purchased first. If the affiliated patron is not going to purchase a primary membership, then the spouse can purchase a community membership for the regular fee (not the spousal rate). In either case, the patrons must present a marriage license/certificate, joint tax return(s), and proof of joint bank account or a lease with the same residence.

    • Spouse/partner membership expiration is concurrent with student/employee separation from CMC.
    • It is the student/employee’s responsibility to inform Campus Fitness staff if relationship with spouse/partner has terminated.
    • Membership is required for spouse/partner to use the Campus Recreation Center without spouse accompaniment.
    • Spouse/partner may use the Campus Recreation when accompanied by the Campus Fitness member during Family & Youth Recreation hours for no fee.
  • Family Plan

    $75/month

    Our family plan includes 2 adults and 2 children. Dependents are children ages 1-16. Anyone 17 and over must affiliate on their own.

  • Colorado Mountain College Student Access

    $25/month

    Students taking six (6) or more credits at Spring Valley receive a Campus Recreation membership as part of their mandatory student fees.

    Any Colorado Mountain College Student who is attending the Glenwood Center, Carbondale, Rifle, or Aspen for classes, Colorado Mountain College part time (taking five (5) credits or less), and online students may sponsor themselves for membership with a valid Colorado Mountain College photo ID.

  • Guest Day Passes for Members

    $7/day

    All guests must be sponsored by a Campus Recreation member, CMC student, or CMC employee to be eligible for daily guest pass.

    Adult (18 years and above) Guest Day Pass - $7.00 per day.

    Youth Guest Day Pass - $5.00 per day (parent must be in the center at the same time the youth is in the center).

    • Campus Recreation Center participants may sponsor up to three guests for $7 per person (activity area age restrictions apply).
    • A valid photo ID must be presented by the Campus Recreation member and their guest.
    • Guests and their sponsoring member are required to sign in at front desk prior to entrance to the activity areas.
    • Guests entering during Sundays at 5pm through Fridays at 5pm during the semester (fall, spring, summer) must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Guest pass privileges include use of Campus Recreation Center activity areas, daily changing room use, and participation in Open Group Fitness Classes.
    • Guest pass is valid for full day of purchase.
    • Sponsors are responsible for guests’ behavior and equipment check-out/return.
    • Sponsors are responsible for remuneration for guests’ entrance fee and lost/broken/damaged equipment.
    • Sponsors are responsible for remaining in the Campus Recreation Center with their guest.
    • Individuals affiliated with Colorado Mountain College who are not current Recreation Center members, may buy themselves a guest pass as well as sponsor up to two additional guests per day.  Proof of affiliation is required (College Faculty/Staff ID, or valid Alumni Association ID).  
  • Punch Passes

    Only available to alumni, faculty, staff and their family members. Not available to general public. No re-entry allowed, without additional punch. Membership enrollment can be completed by the building manager on duty.

    Punch 10 – 10 uses to the Campus Recreation Center during the time the center is open. $65.00

    Punch 20 – 20 uses to the Campus Recreation Center during the time the center is open. $120.00

    Punch 40 – 40 uses to the Campus Recreation Center during the time the center is open. $145.00

    If you plan to visit the Student Recreation Center infrequently, the punch pass may be perfect for you.

    • Each punch pass is valid for 365 days from the purchase date. Any remaining visits after this time will become null and void.
    • Punch Pass members must be 16 and over and may be required to demonstrate proof of age upon purchase.
    • Payment can be made via cash or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express). There are no refunds for any membership except in the care of a medical necessity (which must be supported by a physician's note) or death in the family (documentation is required). The amount of visits missed due to either of these exceptions will either be credited to the member's account or prorated dollar amount will be refunded.
    • Punch Pass members are asked to abide by facility policies (view them here) and violation of these policies could result in suspension from facilities and annulment of remaining visits.

    Individuals must present one of the following forms of identification when purchasing a Campus Recreation membership or Guest Pass: official/valid CMC ID Card, valid State Driver’s License, valid State ID card, current Passport, or USA Military ID.

Refund Policy

  • Membership to Spring Valley Recreation Center is non-refundable / non-transferable.
  • Cancellation of electronic draft and payroll deduction based services requires a 30 day cancellation notice. Notice may be given by emailing us.
  • Cancellation/refund of pre-paid services may be granted only for one of the following reasons with required documentation:
    • Medical emergencies that inhibit the member from utilizing the CMC SVFC
    • Relocation
    • No longer employed at Colorado Mountain College
    • If payment was made by credit/debit card, the refund is returned to the original credit card.
    • Programs that are canceled due to low enrollment or weather will receive a full refund.
