Accuplacer Tutoring

Students seeking help with the Accuplacer are welcome to attend a drop-in session for the topic(s) they need help with.

Group Tutoring Sessions

Groups of 3 or more students in the same class may request a tutor outside these times (dependent on availability) for one hour each week. Forms are available outside Room 205.

Online Tutoring

There is also an online resource called SmartThinking that allows students to receive hours of online tutoring, anywhere, at no cost. There are many courses in which help is offered, including Math, Writing, A&P, Bio, Chem, Econ, Accounting, Statistics, and several more.

All students registered for a credit course can access the service by clicking “Smarthinking Online Tutoring” on the left-hand navigation in any of your courses in Canvas. While this service is provided at no charge, Colorado Mountain College reserves the right to cap the number of free tutoring hours provided to a student. Initially, students are provided with 10 hours per 12-month period coinciding with the college’s fiscal year of July 1 through June 30. This limit is subject to change and students may request additional hours.
